Light and Warmth Candle Co. was born during COVID, right in Mrs. Sun's home basement. When COVID hit hard, it brought many complications to her life. She was introduced to home scented candles, and she decided to discover the candle-making process herself. She spent days and nights testing different scents, wicks, containers, and ratios. The moment she lit her first Coastal Sunrise candle, made at home all by herself, her life was lit up in that exact moment. Luckily, Kim was there to witness the whole magic happening.

Having experienced the warmth of a true home while staying with her homestay mom, Kim became a source of encouragement for Mrs. Sun to share this beacon of hope with others facing similar struggles.

Following Kim's graduation from Dalhousie University, she delved into extensive research on handmade candles in Halifax, Nova Scotia, laying the foundation for our company. A profound connection with her homestay mom fueled Kim's vision to spread love and light to those encountering daily life struggles.
